For the fourth consecutive year, KT Builder Inc. has been ranked among the Top 100 commercial contractors in the United States by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). In 2023, KT Builder ranked #54 nationally — a distinction held by fewer than 0.1% of U.S. contractors.

City contractor Kenneth R. Thompson Jr. received a First Place Merit Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors at the association banquet in Jackson, MS. The $300,000 FEMA-funded project involved a 40,000 square-foot beachfront section of the Gautier, MS cemetery — the most storm-ravaged portion of the burial grounds, with gravesites dating to the early 1800s. The work included repairs to more than 200 headstones and 10 tombs, and installation of a new brick and wrought iron fence.
